Obituary of Glenn Thomas Cripps

Please share a memory of Glenn to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with great sadness that the family of Glenn Thomas Cripps, 61 of Ottawa, announce his peaceful passing on April 27, 2024 after a short battle with cancer at the Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Halifax, NS., he was the son of Ivan and Olive (Collier) Cripps. Glenn retired from the Federal Government in 2022 to pursue his passion for travelling, painting, and playing guitar. He volunteered for 15 years at the Shepards of Good Hope Organization in Ottawa, preparing meals for the less fortunate. Glenn is survived by his sons, Jake and Benjamin of Calgary; brother, Tim (Vivian) of Miramichi, NB; sisters, Cathy (Perry) Harvey of Malagash Point, NS and Sheri (Darrell) Chase, of Fall River, NS and many nephews and nieces. Glenn was predeceased by his father, Ivan, and brother, Dennis. A Celebration of Glenn’s life gathering will be held at the Celtic Coner on May 18, 2024 starting at 7:00pm for all who is interested in sharing a drink or song in his memory. Our sincerest thanks to all the Doctors, nurses and staff on the 3rd and 5th floors of the Dartmouth General Hospital. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Candain Cancer Society or Dartmouth General Hospital.
